The hubby and I took our dog for a walk there and it was nice weather and peaceful
There isn't much to it. It's a nice quiet place to enjoy nature. The old church and post office is lovely now that they have air conditioning. Overall beautiful and educational.
This is a great place to take a break from a long drive if you're traveling through Alabama...Or just to visit with family or friends to spend the day away from highway/city noises or distractions AND learn about the history of the Confederate War.

Very neat place to visit, hate we missed the library, it is open Friday-Monday, will be going back, very nice picnic area and pavilions with grilling areas.
